Car wont accelerate

Hi I have a 2008 d40 2.5 and have had this problem happen to me 3 times now while driving at low speed have tried to accelerate car will not respond have had to turn ignition off then turn it on again then its ok,has anyone come across this fault, tried a dealer in darwin but was of no help will wait till I get back to melbourne and try regular dealer.
