Tight Oil Filter VQ40 V6

Yesterday when I was changing the oil I found that the filter had to be really tight to get it to seal.
Anyone else found the filters have to be really tight on the V6 Petrol?
Was using a Ryco Z547 from memory

I've just done mine with an oem filter and it didn't have to be done up very tight at all to get it to seal. Maybe a bit if dirt round the seal or a dodgy filter?

It might just be the Ryco filters
Ill go for genuine next time
