EGR, Whats the purpose of it......

well ill have to get around to doing the mod just a few more questions thou. when blocking the egr is it exactly the same if i block the exhaust side rather than the induction side. also you said tweake that the turbo gets used more as its sucking in more fresh air, this should be fine right cos really the are designed to cope with the load. so is it really just goin to wear the turbo out quicker ?. in theory the extra rpm of the turbo will mean extra wear.
however it shoul be nothing that the turbo cannot handle unless its fairly stuffed for other reasons.

the biggest thing to watch is air filters.

ideally block both sides. however inlet side is easiest, i would start with that first.
