The V6 Diesel D40 has arrived.

Not sure if anyone else has had any issues, but i took mine up Mt Walker Sunday. Got up there after a couple of goes on highway tyres, and all was good. Getting out on a much easier track i had a rock flick up and split the oil cooler. Its in a pretty bad position, so i would definitely...

Yeah it does, they used the longer rear brake lines and extended the ABS loom. Definitely more than 30mm though. I should have measured it!

Car was bought mainly for towing and carting around stuff for the race car, which it has done extremely well. I got the car early June and have already put nearly 20k on it. Towing is incredible, trailer, car, spare engine, gearbox, diff, fuel, tools, etc the thing still accelerates up any hill...

I have just put EFS in my car, with bags in the rear. Was done by the guys at Tuff Stuff 4x4 here in Adelaide. Ride is only slightly firmer than stock, but not harsh at all. Drives very nice. Definitely more lift in the back, i didn't bother to measure the difference. Car is a bit dirty but you...

The V6 Diesel D40 has arrived.

Picked mine up today, 50km so far and no weird noises! Got a few small cosmetic changes planned for now, put an elec brake controller fitted and some sort of sat nav. Have some involvement with the guys at MTQ for another car of mine and they are keen to get hold of it for a few days lol

Looking forward to seeing some pics and what system you use Hunter. Mine is due to arrive next week and sat nav/reverse camera is one of the priorities.

The V6 Diesel D40 has arrived.

Thanks Northside. Thats the same way we run race motors in, lots of load, and build the rpm as it gets kms on it. Had a read of the graphs in the other thread, looking forward to the results.

Good advice, thanks. Last car didn't have a scheduled service til 10,000km so wasn't expecting that!

Is there any sort of run in procedure for these? Last new car i bought didn't specify anything, but mine is scheduled to arrive right before a 2,500km round towing trip.

Understandable though Krafty. I was really impressed with how smooth the engine and transmission was. Not far off what what TDV6 sport was. Thanks Scotty :)

Brad here from Western Suburbs. Waiting on my new D40 dual cab to arrive. Have done some 4wding around the place, mostly beach/dune stuff and have checked out Saunders Gorge. Definitely keen to get into some more and get to any local meet ups :)

According to the vehicle information sheet it is scheduled to arrive in Oz May 2nd, but, then has all the arrival stuff, has to get from Melb to Adelaide and then go through the usual dealer . I think they have said June as a worst case scenario. As i said, still not holding my breath :)

The arriving on time bit has me worried! Apparently this one is already on the way and has its arrival date confirmed. I'm not relying on it being here in time, which means it will probably arrive early lol

Hey guys, have just sold my a wagon 4wd as i was after the convenience/suitability of a dual cab ute. Have ordered a STX550 from Lakeside Nissan which i should have around June. Have done some 4wding over at Yorke Penninsula, Saunders Gorge, Goolwa beach etc and would like to get into some more...

    Lift kits and towing

Thanks for the info and feedback Tony. I think i will just be a little disappointed if a large 4wd needs additional fixtures to tow 2t properly. Obviously if it came down to it i would use what was needed. I guess having come from 2 cars that needed nothing extra i have a sort of inherent...

    Lift kits and towing

I appreciate what you are saying Tony, and thanks for the input. I would just be disappointed if i had to use additional measures to have a large 4wd tow 2t properly and safely. Obviously if it comes down to it, i would use them to have the car tow properly. I guess coming from a vehicle which...
