Yah... I use wire rope too. Dyneema is convenient but too maintenance intensive for an occasional winch user like me.

Normally I'd say yes but your car is white and the canopy is grey which doesn't look half as bad as some other combinations I can think of. I'd be inclined to paint it if the money was readily available but it wouldn't bother me driving it like that if I couldn't afford to paint it.

Make sure you've got some touch up paint for where you cut and drill the holes, leaving them bare is an invite for rust later down the track.

My D22 has twin cranking batteries plus a deep cycle in the tub. It increases winching time and halves the load on the starting batteries to avoid the issue you're talking about.

I've just been offered $15000 trade in on a 2010 D22 with 50,000 kms on it, the dealer would probably add a few thousand to that. I reckon $13,995 for a 2006 with 154,000 kms is too high based on Vic prices but you're not in victoria.

I fly a fair number of times a year and I always aim to arrive at least an hour before departure for domestic, most times you can get away with less but eventually you'll end up missing your flight for one reason or another if you don't leave that much buffer.
