Hi guys, bought a spare YD25 complete motor ($500) which apparently just stopped working...mechanic just put a recond motor in the truck and away he went and didnt bother to much with this motor. he reckons timing could be snapped but didnt check...heres a photo i cant see anything wrong...

Hey guys, just recently iv noticed when starting the truck up in the morning the revs sit around 1.1 - 1.2 ish then after say 30secs to min it drops to its normal 0.7revish. doesnt matter if aircon is on/off. as soon as i turn it off then back on it idles as per normal but if letting the truck...

iv got a 06 YD25 and mate has hilux sr petrol torque by the books hilux petrol 343Nm @ 2400-4800rpm D40 yd25 403Nm @ 2000rpm going up a 30 degree ramp...hilux can crawl up in first (idling) however D40 stalls even though i have more torque...i dont understand...
