    Sold my Navarra D22

Thanks for the comments guys, I reckon we got a damn good deal considering what they were selling for 12 months ago. I'd hate to have paid top dollar a few years ago and wanting to be trading up now though! joe I've joined the triton forum, I'll see how that goes for now :)

    Sold my Navarra D22

Hi guys, As some of you may be aware my father law has been ill for some months now and disposing of his things, cleaning up his place and getting his unit ready for sale whilst Jodie and I cared for him (as he is no longer able to do by himself) has taken up much of our spare time. It's...

Any Amateur radio operators on here ?

I'm VK3DMN, many moons ago I was VK3PAU. I'm not as active as I used to be but I've got a Yaesu FT-857D for portable use (mainly when I'm camping) and an Icom IC-718 and trap vertical at home which doesn't get used much.

    SUZUKI rebadge NAVARA?? WTF!

It's a better look than the D40, the square front end lok of the Nissan version doesn't do anything for me *shrug*. I sorta wish we got them over here...

    Fridge sizes/brands

Actually you can get plastic 'welding' kits, they use them to fix plastic boats and water tanks.

    No Joke

The 40,000 km service on my Nissan cost $760, doesn't seem too different.

    Ironman bullbars

The antenna being towards the middle on my current ARB bar annoys me a bit because it's partly in my line of sight. It annoys my better half a lot more because it's just about right in front of her and the spring mount means it's wobbling around being distracting on rough roads. As for damage...

Dyneema Winch Rope Maintenance, what do you do?

Yah... I use wire rope too. Dyneema is convenient but too maintenance intensive for an occasional winch user like me.

Should I colour match my canopy

Normally I'd say yes but your car is white and the canopy is grey which doesn't look half as bad as some other combinations I can think of. I'd be inclined to paint it if the money was readily available but it wouldn't bother me driving it like that if I couldn't afford to paint it.

3 hrs to fit safari snorkel?

Make sure you've got some touch up paint for where you cut and drill the holes, leaving them bare is an invite for rust later down the track.

3 hrs to fit safari snorkel?

3 hours is what I was quoted and charged for my snorkel, I was going to do my next one myself and I was allowing myself 6 hours.

    Making my own jump leads

I looked into doing this a while back and for what heavy duty welding wire cost (without the cost of the clamps) I couldn't make them for twice what a decent set from the local auto-pro cost me. A minimum of 200 amp capacity is needed if you're going to persist.

Electric Winch - Current Draw & how long can u winch for?

There are heavy cables between the cranking batteries and they run in parallel (no isolation needed) and the tub battery is not charged directly by the car alternator so has no high current link to the other batteries, hence over current between the tub battery and the other batteries isn't an...
