Upcoming trips?

Hi all

Does anyone know if there are any trips planned for the next month or so? We are doing the big move from tas to melb in 3 weeks and will be keen to get out in the 4wd but will have no idea of where to go! Was hoping there may be a chance of meeting some new people and tagging along

There,s a lot of places within an hour of Melbourne, east, north and west. Wombat forest just west of melbourne out through Bacchus marsh, Go north you have kinglake area and follow maroondah highway out to toolangi. All these places offer some interesting scenery and some challenging driving or easy driving, and all make great day trips,

The Otways is also good, although pretty wet this time of year, and most of the decent 4x4 tracks are closed till it dries out a bit in Spring.

Mate went down to the otways a few weeks ago motorbike riding ended up breakin down and had to 4x4 to get his bike out. He said it was really really wet! Thinkin Bout headin down there in the next few weeks.

Thanks Scott that'd be good, am going to stay at the caravan park at rockbank for the time being as work will be at tullamarine and will then check out places in Sunbury to live I think

Mate from rockbank its only 20 or 30 till you hit the bush behind Bacchus marsh, Good mix of driving from there from 2wd dirt roads through to 4wd low hills and ruts, Can drive from there through the bush to blackwood (lunch) or Daylesford or trentham. Google up wombat state forest
