removed sidesteps

guys i just removed the sidesteps to replace with sliders what is the best way to fill the holes (there are 10 on each side) so that they are 100% waterproof

Buy some grommets from repco or super cheap

+1 grommets. and then sixaflex them up

I used bolts and massive mudflap washers as the holes in my floorpan were massive. And a hell of alot of sikaflex

Silicone isn't bad as long as it's neutral cure (ask any girl that's been enhanced).

Sikaflex seems to be the most popular sealer for cars. Clean around the holes on both sides, apply rust-inhibiting paint all the way and once this dries, apply some sikaflex to the hole and put a grommet through it. The grommet will help withstand the pressure of the water if you go that deep. Give the sikaflex a day or two to dry before you go windscreen-deep in anything.

Replace the original bolts, cut em down if you need to and seal with Sika or silicon.
