Oil on top of motor

Hi all, I’ve got a 2004 zd30 and I’ve noticed oil on top of the motor. When running you can see a white smoke coming from the same area, I was just wondering if anyone could shed a bit of light on what’s happing here and if anyone knows how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

glow plug seal probably needs replacing.
also check there is no restrictions in the breather hose (other than the factory one).

Ive managed to get it sorted. Took off the nut and the cable and underneath was another nut on that same thread that was very loose. You could literally see the oil seeping between the centre of nut and the thread with the engine off! So I just tightened that up now it’s all good, I will also look into the glow plug seal.

thats sounds strange.
sounds like the glowplug may have cracked and oil is coming up through it ????
you may be in for a new glow plug.

Oh aright I’ll have a look at it over the weekend, any reason why the glow plug would cracked?

someone got carried away tightening it up ?? otherwise no idea. its a weird fault.

Yeah seemed strange to me. I think I’ll replace them all, as the others could be shaged too. I’ve only had the Ute for just over a year now so most probably the original ones
