Oil as thick as custard

G'day.

One of the work utes just had a service. I saw a sample of the engine oil that was changed and it was like thick custard. It has done 20,000 km since previous service.

I'll try and get more details.

I've read about this elsewhere. mainly turbodiesels.

20000k may explain it if a low quality oil was used

I'd seriously consider dropping the oil after a a few days of running, new filter to. Like give the thing a flush if the oil came out like that.

Would also consider removing the sump and cleaning that out with the oil and filter chance

It is a Navara DX 2.5 turbo
I don't spend much time at the workshop as I'm usually out on field work. When I get more information I'll keep you updated.
Tho oil is thick like honey or golden syrup.
