Hey all,

Thought i would start a new post about my ride. Looking at slowly making mods to my girl. Some of the mods are...

Suspension
Extra lighting
Dual battery setup
Rear tray box for recovery gear
In car compressor
Spray on tub liner

Hopefully heading up to the Cape next year!

Heres a pic of her playing in the mud up in the Northern Territory.

RAPTOR U-POL Spray on Tub Liner

Did some work on her over the weekend. Got some of that Raptor U-Pol spray on tub liner. Saw a few members have used it with great results.

Previously had a plastic tub but it was scratching up all over the tray and wanted to get rid of it.

Had to sand back the paint and washed it down before spraying the liner.

Goes on pretty thick, only did 3 coats and was happy with it. Have attached some pics.

Had to get some touch up paint to fix up some scratches. On the plate it says that the paint code is GAF. No auto paint shops can find anything to do with this code. Called up Nissan and being Nissan were a nightmare and had no idea. I ended up finding that the black colour used is called COSMIC BLACK which the code is G42.

Long story short, i went and got G42 made up but it does not look like the black painted on my D22..

Anyone know anything about the paint used for the 2010 D22 model Black over silver..

Recovery Points

Have been pretty slack with the truck lately. I ordered some recovery points the other day and they arrived on Friday. Fitted them with only one small hiccup, the chassis frame bolt snapped off, so had to fiddle around to get that undone. Ended up buying some longer bolts and with the help of my impact wrench they are longer going anywhere.

The recovery points look really good and cant wait to test them out!

Air Compressor Installed

Also ran some power cables (50amp) down to the rear seat to power up the air compressor. Cut the ends and connected some Anderson plugs. Just need to make up a mount for the air compressor so it wont move around.

Also purchased a Ark power pack for the tub, to power up the toys! Just need to get a canopy and to make up some drawers.

Hey mate where did you get the recovery points from and how much?

Hey Mate, got them from FNB 4WD supplies down in South Australia. All up with postage i think they were around the $110 mark. Real good and quick service. They are a bloody good recovery point and fitted well! Just got some M12x1.25 HT bolts from the local hardware shop.

Powerpack has arrived!

New Ark Powerpack arrived today. Once i build some drawers in the tub i will set this up for the fridge and accessories..

Update

Finally ordered a winch for the truck.. Ended up going with the Tigerz11 Hercules one, it had 20% even better! and a free LED work light which is a bonus.

Mounting the winch was fairly straight forward until the point when i had to try and line up the holes and put the bolts in at the same time!

The control box is pretty shit house, not really much cable from the box to the winch so really couldn't mount it in too many places.

Anyone have any ideas to mount these things? Thinking also maybe just extending all the wires and putting it under the bonnet.

Also grabbed a UHF while i was in the mood to spend up. Got the UHF 4600, pretty good, and benefit that its not a massive unit!
