Im about to do this mod,looking at it I take it is easier to remove the studs to slip plate in.Hugh

Yep thats what i did. From the Outlet side managed to get a small 5mm gap and squeeze the plate in.

i did EGR last night,

i used 5mm Ally plate that i cut and grinded down, i think using ally works better as its a softer metal and will seal better... make sure you do ur VAC lines as well...

because of other issues with my rig i havent seen a benifit yet but have seen with a mates car certainly a mod worth doing, but on a stock exhaust system be sure to keep an eye on EGT... i have 3" exhaust so not going to cause any problems.

The YD25 doesn't have the VAC lines. Well at least not on my YD25.
You sure your not thinking of the 3lt version?

Yes that's the 3L,thats why I named the thread egr mod question 2.5cr.

Exhaust gases are corrosive. Alloy will end up in your inlet in little bit. Stainless is the go.
