d40 auto engine oil

I have just changed from a 2003 3litre patrol (had from new) to a 2011 new navara st auto.

My questions are
1.what brand of engine oil does the forum use (dpf),
2. what economy do you get, (I have got heavier use than the patrol and am not really happy.

Welcome to the forums.

There is a thread in either the D40 section or the general section titled something close to "What Oils Do You Use" Check the thread out it has many posts relating to the different types of oil forum users use in their Nav's

At the end of the day as long as it's the same spec as in the book the flavour means little.

There is also a D40 economy thread that has the information you seek.

Thanks Crafty, I'll have a look there. I am having trouble looking in this forum, it seems difficult to get around for my two questions.

Best way it to use an "Advanced search" (link under the search box) type in your query and choose the D40 section for it to search with.

I think the oil thread may even be a sticky, the economy one wont be but the D40 economy thread has been added to in the last 24 hours so at worst it should be easily found through the "Quicklinks" link and choose "Today's Posts"
