5k or 10k service

Hey guys just wondering when I brought my d22 the dealer told me service had to be done every 10k but the owners manual says 5k will doing it every 10k avoid the warranty

Welcome mate,
In my d22 manual the 5k servicing relates to cars used in extreme circumstances.

I service every 8-10k depends how it is feeling and the colour/consistancy of the oil/filters...

10k is ok, just use a good oil and it will last fine. Some people are doing 5k servicing but I think that is overkill and not needed. I do rotate tyres every 5 though.

What age D22 ?

I run Dello 400 through mine and service it between 5000km's and 10,000km's.

if it waz a D40, then every 10K would be fine ...

Jmkf do you have the'customer information booklet' ? its the thin booklet which they stamp after service. On page M3 they outline the servicing schedule, and define 'severe' conditions and 'normal' conditions.

I do a quick oil and filter change on the 5000 services and to mechanics on the 10000 services. Might be over kill but keeps the motor in top shape.

Pretty much sums up the way i go about my servicing.
