    Cheap Dual Battery Setup

Thanks guys, I will look at an isolation switch or some sort of fuse scenario, the larger more expensive box's are fitted with an isolation switch, but I will go with an isolation switch at the main battery end (to turn off power along the cable until I need it - thanks Tony) and a fuse near the...

    Cheap Dual Battery Setup

Hi all Well after having my Navara for a few months now, I have been pondering where in heck to put the 2nd battery (2010 ST) and they say they can only do them under the front drivers seat (external - dont; like that idea) or in the ute back. I go camping and have a winch on the front, so I...

    Silly question

you could just put a 44 gal drum in the back of the ute, with a hand fuel pump on it and say its extra fuel, (you came a long way) when no ones looking crank the pump and start drinking ya 44 gals of bourbon LOL

    Auto or manual

I went manual, as a 4x4 person off road driving autos have their place on beaches and sand where you lose no momentum changing gears, the down side is if you get in rocky tracks, you will be forever riding the brake pedal, manuals have a lower idle and edge their way along.... thats my 3c worth...

Thanks gents my CB is now wired in , the gromet for the bonnet catch won, it was relatively easy, and then I spliced the pos and neg wires into the 12v outlet, I nice neat finish and no new holes drilled, I am sure in a few years I won't be so Anal :)

    D40 2010 uhf aerial hyperventalating

Thanks guys for your input, the cb I bought was a GME and they have a clever lead end now, the bulky part that screws into the CB unscrews from the cable leaving a metal fitting that is a couple of mm wider than the cable, I will explore the passenger side kick panel first will see how I go...

    D40 2010 uhf aerial hyperventalating

Hi guys With only a 120km on the clock of my new trruck I am hyperventalating at the thought of getting the drill out and hacking into the firewall to get my cb aerial through.
