What airbox?

Wanting opinions on what airbox to get as mine has a crack in it.

Standard with prefilter bypass?
80s airbox?
K&n airbox?

Really depends what you want to do with the car?

As above would be fine to just repair the airbox
but if you doing water crossings id replace the air-box

stock air-box is a quick n simple replacement.

If your thinking upgrades to airflow, do the 80 series air-box, its much large with larger pipework. It will require modifications, but if you handy with the tools then it wont be to hard for you.

Yeah after more airflow before I get a chip so it can be tuned for it and I was leaning towards the 80s airbox but the k&n seems like a cheap unit that would provide more flow, just not sure about washable filters and if the unit will be properly sealed

Have a look at this mob, it's a custom zd30 patrol airbox, the bloke told me he had put one in his old mans navara. It's on my want list.

Yeah they're pretty sweet! Just not looking at spending a million bucks right now got some other things to do first

$400 odd is the reason I haven't raced out and bought it, although I think it would be worth it

Hey Matt, i just finished doing the 80 series airbox last week. Its well worth it and is pretty cheap, $50 for the airbox and about $5 for some straight bar for the brackets.
