Torsion bar thickness

Hi Guys
First post here as i just bought the Nav
What i'm trying to workout is if my torsion bars have been upgraded or not as they have sagged quite alot (steel ARB Bar, Winch and brush bars) and nearly out of adjustment.

I'd like to know what the diameter of the std torsion bars is?

The shocks and rear springs have been replaced with ironman gear, so just trying to work out if the torsion bars have been done as well, i don't think so.

Welcome to the forum mate are the bars clean. They simply need adjusting to compensate for the load. Have a search.

My standard ones which are sitting in my garage are 26mm, and my EFS ones which are on the ute are 27mm. Not sure how much extra difference that 1mm could make.

Thanks guys 26mm is what i have, looks like i'll be upgrading soon.
No decisions to be made, i'm looking at tuff dog, ironman or dobinsons

its not only the thickness that matters
the composition of and the way the metal is heat treated makes a huge difference

Hey Aus155,

The Ironman 4x4 torsion bars on a D22 are 26mm thick.

The part number is NISS025 - cross check with whats on the vehicle to see if it matches or not.

I just got the number off the DS torsion Bar
540102s601rh61-3
Im guessing this would be the nissan part number
The writing on the DS bar is white and the PS bar is yellow
