sticking gear stick?

Ok so over the last week ive started to have some issues with transmission and with only 11k on the ute im not too happy. Issue I have is once car is warm if u push gear stick down it wont pop back up on its own you have to manually do it. Found this out do 90k and trying to find 6th where it almost grabbed reverse. If car is cold I dont have a issue. Any ideas? I have taken it to nissan today as a warranty thing but thought id ask here incase they try and pull a fast one as I have no idea on the cause

In typical nissan fashion they had it for 5hrs turned around and blamed the body lift but when I questioned them they couldnt tell me how the body lift was causing it. Ive had the body lift for a while now but this has only just started to happen. Any ideas?
