S1 Spain vs Thai Headlights

Any difference between the s1 spain and thai headlights? I'm looking to get an aftermarket set retrofitted with hid's but want to make sure I'm not going to have any fitment issues and they are the same design, retain the self levelling function etc.

I'm sure there are aftermarket lensed HID setups for your car.

Unlensed HID headlights are a total PITA for other drivers and have been the target of police activity. I can't stand them and often switch everything I've got on in response. If the oncoming driver doesn't think I need to see, then I don't think they need to either!
