Hi, just thought I'd get some initial opinions on the possible source or cause of an oil leak I've found. I'm very much a novice novice, so diagnostics is not my strong suite. Per the photos, there seems to be oily leaks at various junctions from the area of the turbo through to the intake. I feel that is is more than just loose connections or failed gaskets given the number of leaks visible.

The car: 2009 D40, near enough 200k on the clock, previous owner had pulled out the DPF system, blows a little smoke when you punch it at low revs and turbo is noisy when coming off the throttle, otherwise seems to run fine with no appreciable lag.

It is entirely possible that it's been boosting a little more than it ought to and this is causing the joins to leak.

Another possibility is that there's a small leak from, say, the rocker cover, timing chain cover or even the power steering and the fan is blowing the oil around.

Degrease, rinse, drive, check again.

If you want to make sure the hose joins adhere well, make sure that you clean not only the outside of the hose, but the inside of the hose where it will contact the metal. If there's oil/debris on the surface it may encourage further leaking. Petrol is good for this task, just let it dry.

As Old.Tony says, to clean and check again will tell you the source of the leak. It doesn't seem worrysome, but leaks use to be ugly and seem a big issue. I'm sure it should be just gasket thing. Mine had something like that but it was all very messy. Cleaning, locating, opening, cleaning all and refitting solved completely the issue. Mine was at the oil feeding tube of the turbo. Didn't even needed new gasket.

Thanks @Old.Tony and @leondanteº I appreciate your responses! I'll certainly confirm the source of the leak(s) before pulling things off to reseal. I have seen in multiple other threads the culpability of the oil feeder tube with leaks, so I'll definitely look at that too. I know nothing about turbo boost so will learn and look at that one last I think.
