how to remove stx mirrors?

anyone know the best method to remove my chrome plastic mirrors of 2007 stx.

i need to get them sand blasted to be able to paint them black

I did exactly that, theres a photo floating around somewhere here.

Turn your mirrors all the way in, you can see down the back of the glass, with a long skinny screwdriver, a bright torch and a load of patience you can unclip the chrome covers without taking the glass out. I wouldn't sand blast them though, they're pretty thin, will rub back easy
