As promised, measurements off the door are as follows:

Locked in the collapsed position: 150mm
In the normal position: 310mm
Extended: 410mm

I think I need about 60mm flare on them guards. Couple that with an extra 60mm of wheel offset, that's 120mm of increased track width ... I'd probably get away with 50mm per side. They're still going to make the truck look bigger!

I would not get too worried about WA regs for the purpose of a trip through the state, as long as the vehicle complies with the regs in the state its registered in I think you are fine.

You see plenty of interstate vehicles that would not comply in NSW but are legal in thier home state.

I would ask the question before I went spending too much cash.

Much like our "National Gun Laws" which are anything but, as long as you have a licence from your home state and your weapon meets that states regs, you are good to travel and shoot/hunt withing the normal laws.
