Engine running on?

Gday,when I shut off engine.it shakes its head a bit.is this normal?Hugh

shouldn't be. not sure how much shake the yd25 has but it should be next to nothing.
check how much oil is in the intercooler/pipes.

mine does it, although its not anything big, same as my previous hiluxes, sames as the 1000KW CATs i maintain, its just the engine still rolling over after fuel signal has been cut.

not sure how bad yours is, but should just be a slight rattle.

When I had an egr leak mine did it. The shutdown valve (butterfly) wasn't working because of the leak . Fixed the leak, fixed the run on.

Its just a little head shake on switch off,only got 10000k on it.Hugh

yeah mine does that to cranks over 1 or 2 times when i kill the zd30? lol

it's annoying that's for sure gotta hold the clutch in till it stops or it'll lurch forward even with the hand brake on arrgh !!! but i got used to it pretty quickly had to lol

On a bit of a side note, has anyone noticed how much the motor kicks when it fires up, really surprised me when I was checking out my zd30 before I bought it, new to diesels ha ha.
