So thought I'd get around to doing my rear diff breather.
The bits used

Yeah the bit of hose is a bit longer about 2.5m
The stock vent, was surprised how much pressure was still in the diff,

Decided to put the breather up behind the tail light so un did the 2 screws that hold the tail light in.

Popped out the tail light , ran the hose up the back of the light and popped the light back in.

Don't plan on ever doing any water crossings as high as the tail lights.

Just happened to buy enough bits to make a few kits up the same as this so if anyone is interested let me know. Thinking of $25 a kit posted with $5 being donated to the forum from each kit.

How would that go for the guys reversing boats into the water? Would they ever sink their tubs up to the tail lights? Could this be routed up the FRONT of the tub?

I love the idea, but I fear I need to get everything extended - front diff & transfer as well.

Yeah could be ran up the front without any hassle, will be doing the front gearbox transfer case and diff next, and when chucking the boat in there's no way in hell I'd be reversing it that far in , well not on purpose anyway, especially in the salt ,front diff is already up to the back of the air box just needs a short extension.

If the front diff and transfer case ran up to the top of the firewall behind the ABS unit I reckon that'd be high enough. If you got water that high you're bloody game (and we have, once, but we weren't aiming to!).

Do you mind sharing the thread size? I will probably have the appropriate fittings in work to chuck one together myself.

Mal, I've replied to your PM's but I'm not sure of they are sending correctly, they don't appear in my sent messages folder, but weird, maybe you do it different down there in Oz!
