I have a stock d40, and i get stuck on almost anything because the frame of the car is to low to the ground. I am planning to run 33's to lift the frame of the car higher.

Does anyone have a d40 on 33s and when 4wding do you still bottom out?

Hey mate, I have a d40 with 40mm lift and 265/75 which are almost 32's.
To overcome bottoming out on everything i added the full underbody protection and some of Scottys sliders and even though i still bottom out i can just slide along and not get hung up. Works well..

the more you lift and the bigger tyres the bigger the stuff you tackle, you wil always scrape on something, it just depends what your prepared to tackle. i run 33's and close to 4" of lift. i hit lots of thing but then again most people with a newer car wont go anywhere near it. get yourself some sliders bashplates a lifted rear bar and a bb with good approch angle.

if you dont want to hit stuff go buy an old short wheel based gq and put 6" coils and 37's on it.
