Hi Guys, I have just joined up and I am really looking forward to being part of this forum. I have had the D22 since new and it has most mods done on it, such as Tunit chip, 2 3/4 exh, I/Cooler etc. However, I have just become aware of the pros for blanking off the EGR.
My questions to those who know about this procedure are about Turbo boost issues and any electrical (sensors etc).
Thanks

Nope, unload heavy load they can run hotter. But thats flogging it like the 265/75/16 threads have been flogged to death.

Normal and most driving, they run 50-100C EGT cooler.

Welcome to the forum.

It's only the D40s manufactured after the middle of 2010 that seem to monitor EGR flow and even then it's only checking for its presence - so blank the thing off and drill a small hole in the blanking plate. Some EGR gets through - satisfies the sensor - but doesn't choke up the motor.
