Have found a helpful video on Youtube, but have a query regarding tightening the hub using the "special tool".

Does anyone have any tips to do this without the tool, or give me an idea where I can get something that will do the job and not cost a bomb.

Any other tips and tricks performing the bearings replacement would be much appreciated.

Cheers and beers :cheers!:

Other then that it's pretty straight forward stuff. Just reverse what you do when you pull it down. Don't over grease or over tighten the bearings and you will do fine.

You don really need one, you can just get two screw drivers insert into the holes and use a third screw driver to lever it tight or loose. Ghetto, but it works haha

Yeah I thought of something similar but for the price it's a handy tool to have.

Watched that one today - nice tutorial! Let us know how you get on.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I was wondering where you guys source your front wheel bearings from as I spoke to Nissan today to get a wheel stud as one has snapped on the front and figured I'd do the front wheel bearings while I'm at it but Nissan quoted me $175 per side for both bearing and grease seal cap.

Saw there are a fair few guys selling bears on Ebay and wanted to know if there are other places you guys go where they have good quality but also where I don't have trade a kidney for a set.

I know Repco has studs as I just bought a rear one. They probably have bearings too. I went to a bearing specialist in sydney here for mine, can't remember how much though sorry.

Somewhere like bursons auto parts, or a industrial bearing suppliers, the bearing suppliers sell quality bearings and seals, it's where I go for car, truck and trailer bearings, fair bit cheaper
