Hi lads,
I brought a set of Calmini 2'' shackles from somebody from the forum, when I receive them in the post, I discovered they were NON- Greaseable.

As the picture shows below image-925435932.jpg

So then I went about trying to rectify this! My original shackles were Greaseable.
After consideration I decided to take the shackles to work and get them pressed out,(as I really wanted greaseable)

The only modification I had to do to the Calmini shackles, was the side that has the grease nipples on it. I had to make the holes 20 mm (only on two of the plates) (the other two the bolthead was the right diameter) Overall you needed 21mm

They need to be pressed back in too I also added some Loctite to them as well.

well I hope my little write-up helps some people out..
Cheers Geoff

Hey Geoff, are you running the shackles with the original leaves? If so did it give you at least 50mm of lift?
I'm trying to work something out for my ute to give me the best of both worlds, if it's possible!

Cheers Brad

Brad,

No not standard suspension
Listed below also including 2 inch leaves in rear.

I have 2 inch EFS suspension lift
+2 inch extended shackles and Calmini UCA

2" shackle gives 1" of lift. Cheers

Yes thank you John, I was aware of that

So in total I have about 3 inches.

2 inches on suspension
And with the extended shackles
And UCA, you achieve roughly 3 inches maybe slightly more.

FOR ANYBODY THAT IS NOT AWARE!!!!!!!

You will not get 4 inches of lift out of this process....

Cheers
Geoff
