anyone been to cape palmerston

Was thinking about going for a soot up to cape palmerston on the weekend.

Has anyone been up there? Any of you boys from around mackay?

Hey mate, i went for a drive up there when i was living in Mackay. Pretty good to have a cruisey drive and a bit of a look around. Not much in the way of tracks, and i bet once looking at the cape you will wish you towed your boat up there. Seems to be a good spot at the caravan park if you dont mind launching off the beach.

Cheers morticus, yeah I am going to go for a fish, beverages and camp. Did you camp? There seems to be a few different spots.

Was a prime place, drove some good tracks, snorkel, fished, camped. Defiently will be going there lots more. And only 2 and half hours from me.

Hey bloke, nah i didnt camp, just headed up there for a drive one lazy sunday. Dont think we even got off the black top!. Seems like a good spot though, im guessing you have been to notch point? I think thats a ripper of a camp spot for a few days. Can get fun after a heap of rain too
