My pleasure. It took me a lot of research to get this fixed myself so I hope it helps someone else. The biggest thing is to do the ecu reset after replacement. My car only idled after it and nothing more until I did the reset.
I feel like rocking up in the new Ranger and giving them some tips on customer service.......
I've followed your build over on the Ranger forum Nath, love your rig mate. Good job on it! I've got 7 days on Fraser for our bi-annual trip there in September so heaps of time to build mine up now.
Chipit are out of business I believe...........
I would steer clear of any chip that raises the fuel rail pressure. Which only leaves Steinbauer I believe - it alters injector length.
The new Ranger is sensational too. Very, very nice to drive. Smooth, quiet, heaps of grunt. You can tell its...
This forum has been good to me over the past three years so hopefully my story here may help someone in the future.
I've had problems with fuel delivery in the past, funnily enough, dealer related but that's another story.
The last 10 days have been a nightmare. My car was playing up...
I only picked it up today, pissing down up here in Brisbane. Running around for work so have only done 30kms in suburbia but damn guys, they are bloody nice sorry to say! Heaps more power than the 2.5, but they are so smooth! Quiet and refined. And big! Damn thing is as tall as my Nav and it's...
Yeah, saw him over on the Ranger forum Sparra.
This forum here has been a great source of info over the years and helped me diagnose all of my own issues - better than the dealer anyway!!
I'm not a one eyed brand owner anyway. The ford seems to be a good rig. I didn't even bother driving one...
After diagnosing my issue as the above, it came to light that 'apparently' Nissan only sell the entire fuel rail assembly at some $1100...........
After a tip from the Ford Ranger forum, I contacted HiTech Diesel in South Australia and $101 later one is on it's way to me. Nissan. Never again...
As simple as this sounds, check it anyway......
Just take some time to ensure the module is actually plugged in properly and all the little connectors are contacting properly. After being in the car for 12 months with no issues, mine started doing this out of the blue. I took the module out and...
There is a thread on here somewhere about the alternators on the new D40's - don't hold me to this (its from memory) but the wires out of the alternator, find the green/white one and cut it. Fixes the issue instantly and keeps the voltage up constantly.
I'm running a dual ctek in my tray with...
And the Chipit module I got sent supposedly being brand new you would think...... was actually second hand - it had obvious dirt in the crevices when I pulled it out of the box! Works okay though.
Mate, I have Cooper AT3's 275/70-17's with a SAX lift, I have no rubbing or scrubbing.
The 285's weren't available when I got mine otherwise I would have gone that way!
