I'm just wondering what's everybody's running, I want to make my own 2 1/2" stainless system but I was going to buy the dump pipe. I've been told off 2 manufactures that there's not enough room and they don't make one? I'm half tempted on making my own. Can anyone confirm this?

Also if anyone has there old dump pipe I can use as a template there's a carton in it for ya. If there hard to get I'll probably start making a couple to sell.

Cheers

They don't seem to be too hard to get, just not cheap.. There are normally redback ones on eBay for around $400 I think.... I'd rather make my own than pay that, I guess I'd have to get a flange laser cut though cause I haven't been able to find them anywhere...

Ebay would be the way to go, I got a 3" turbo back system....Mandrel bent with 3" dump and high flow cat (no mufflers) for $1100, was pretty happy to pay that as it is an awesome system

Redback was one of the places that said they dont make it cause it can't be done. I think I'll just find a second hand original to use to make one, any one got one?

Muzza.

I have a 2.5" dump into 2.75" system. I could easily fit a 3" dump. I have a 09 d22.

If you live in brissy you can have my factory dump section as it's just laying around.

I went with a full beaudesert system so I have the factory dump in the shed
not sure how you would go modding it as its cast iron
anyone want it ?

looking at the redback pic you cant really see how deep it is behind the flange
I fitted a redback system to a vs commodore years ago
straight bolt up
biggest piece of shit I have ever fitted, nothing matched
I guess you get what you pay for

It has the right flange and says it fits 2008 onwards 2.5L di navaras. Now if they are saying it doesnt fit then they have false advertised.

Xforce

Just fitted x force 3" turbo back to my 2008 navara (yesterday). Dump pipe lower bolt nearest motor really tried my sanity levels. Had to wind boost controller down six clicks to drag boost back down to 20 psi. Actually hit 32psi. Reset chip back to setting 7 from 12 as well. Glad I fitted full set of gauges before I started mods. EGT's went from 700 under stress to 500 on same hill.
Paid 600 for the x force plus freight. That was Turbo back mild steel.
Have fun

Good stuff. Where was that from? Local in Adelaide or online somewhere?

From Best Mufflers off the net I think they are in Sydney.. Forgot to mention it included high flow cat. Ordered Friday received Tuesday. I had to rework from cat to first flange but I think that was because mine is a 2wd. And yes it is tight around the fire wall.
Hope this is helpful.
