Just wanted to ask a questions regarding towing a car across a river crossing.

Going for a camping trip this weekend (cape york), there is one crossing which is alright if you take the right route, done it a few weeks ago. My D22 (ZD30) doesn't have a snorkel yet, it’s on the to-do list.

Say if my car had to get towed across the crossing, is there any problems in doing this, or anything which i should do. Was thinking I would need to cover the exhaust and probably put a tarp over the engine.

Or can i just get towed straight through it, just want to be prepared.

Cheers

Keep a constant rate up with the vehicle and the bow wave will help keep the water out of the engine bay. A tarp might not be necessary - a wading bra would suffice, and would be more unlikely to catch itself in your wheels from stray current and then rip itself free.
