Hi all, ordered a D40 ST which should arrive next week, fair to say I am pretty excited!
I have been looking for information on stock head unit size etc as I got locked into a stupid Grays online auction battle.... and then checked what I had bought haha.
Anyway I got a Pioneer AVH-P8450BT http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/archive/AVH-P8450BT/page.html for $350 odd. It is a 7 inch screen but I also cannot find out much info on the dimensions of the unit.
I am wondering if anyone happens to of bought this unit and its a straight plug and play? Or does an aftermarket facia need to be purchased (if they even make them).

Thanks!

Head Unit

It should be a double Din unit which will fit the Nav. Not sure whether the brackets of your original Navara ill fit or not. You will need to buy some patch leads from Aerpro to suit the unit. I fitted a Sony unit to my D40 and the brackets fit perfectly. Ring Pioneer they should be able to help.

8450 is standard double dinn size. Will be a direct replacement for the unit in the dash

Yep, as Billy said, you will probably need a wiring harness adaptor to connect the Pioneer wiring to the Nissan loom.
Alternatively you can cut and splice the wiring.
