Standard 2006 ZD30. 300,000 Kms worth of wear, EGR blocked and a oil catch can fitted in the engine breather return.
Standard turbo, ECU etc.

Installed VDO 0-15 PSI Boost Gauge

Cut and Teed the little 4mm tube between the inlet and pressure sensor

Getting max of about 4 PSI boost.
Thinking that is not very much. Maybe I should try connecting somewhere else on the inlet? where else have people connected boost gauge?
Brand new gauge - can't be reading that wrong..
Sheesh.

First thing I'd check is to make sure the line from the tee to the gauge doesn't have any kinks or is pinched anywhere. You should be seeing around 15psi i believe. Where you have tee'd in is fine, you should get a decent reading from there, but just check that line out...

is that just free reving it? or actually out on the road foot to the floor up a hill?

if ute is driving up the hills ok its a boost gauge problem.

That is on the road. Foot to the floor.
4 PSI max.

I'm going to disconnect the VDO gauge at that Tee piece and connect a workshop vac/pressure gauge, and go for a drive with it perched on a windscreen wiper so I can see. I've got the repco version of one of these in my tool box.
