Hi I recently bought the 2010 navara d22 ST/R and had a nissan snorkel fitted it was good for 2 days until a vibration started on it some where near the windscreen so i took it back to the dealer and ask them to fix it.. The dealer rang me the next day and told me alls good .When i went to pick it up i checked for the vibation and it was still there . as for that i refused to take vehicle .. and left it with them to fix ....nissan said they need a specialist in nissan trouble shooting to get to the botom of this issue ..load of crap worst dealer eva.... they still have my ute and it has been two weeks she is still on the hoist every day W..T..F ... Has any 1 got any idea how to fix this problem?????HELP

I know your pain, I had a diesel hilux years ago that did the same thing, bloody annoying! Funny thing is, I changed a gearbox mount and the noise went away.

I have the exact problem and snorkel.
Have you figured it out? its driving me crazy...

take it off and refit it your self!!lol if it was a dealer fitted snorkel check and see if the put the thin layer of black foam between it and the guard!!

I had a similar problem with a hilux. Fixed it by bedding the snorkel onto the guard with silicone. Problem was caused by the bolts/screws vibrating out.

This guy knows. mine was doing the same, its the mounts on the pillar that secure the snorkel half way up the cab. i just pulled the rubber door seal off and used a ring spanner and socket set to tighten the two bolts up, easy job!

I had the same - did all the same
It is caused by the shape of the head unit on the snorkel. The shape causes an air dam at the head and hence the buffeting. To prove it take the head off and see if the vivration stops. No matter whats said this will not affect the operation of the engine in any way other than to give you a little better fuel saving.
Try it and let us know
