The Sea To Sky hwy from Vancover to Whistler is also great.Whistler is just a big tourist trap,very much like Queenstown NZ without the scenery.

I will include a couple of pics of the wedding we went over for,just because of scenery at the Frazer river lodge.As usual the girls got pissed & entertained the mostly Canadian crowd with the aussie version of Am I ever going to see your face again.Aussie music was very popular on the radio stations in US & Can.

After wedding which ended back at motel with guests from 2 other weddings that were staying at the motel all of us 100+ stand outside till nearly dawn.next the BBQ lunch at new inlaws then a large dinner for all us Aussies at local as we were all going our separate ways,some home a lot to NYC we were heading to Yellowstone.I picked a route through the Cascades marked on map as scenic.

Yep, I can't recommend it high enough. Done a 2 calendar month road trip last year, it was fantastic. Right thru the Northwest- Alaska, The Yukon, Northwest territories, Washington, Montana and dipped my toe in Wyoming. All these places are relatively low populated and easy to get around. Very easy low stress trip. Spotted wildlife galore. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Very easy low stress trip. Spotted wildlife galore. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Sounds great.... I'm not a huge fan of crowds.... What sort of ball part cost was it for u and how many in your family..... there's 5 of us....

Our flights for 2 return & 1 months carhire was $3200,had prebooked Las Vegas & week in Canada $800,took $3000 US cash which $1000 I brought home.But rang up $8000 on visa,we lived pretty high on the hog & brought home 2 extra suitcases of stuff we had purchased.If we had stayed at cheaper Motels & not run amuk[Like I bought the missus a $1000 jade polar bear]we could of got away with about $3000 on credit.Already booked again for next year which we will be doing on the cheap,want to spend more time in Montana,Utah,Wyoming,Colorado & nth & sth Dakota.More pics heading to Yellowstone.Hugh

2 interesting facts,yellowstone has the longest bit of hwy above 10000,ft in US.Has record for second coldest temp in US at -60f,i would hate to think what that is in Celsius

The attitude can make people sick,warning signs all over.I found it a bit harder to move around[but I have had a heart attack]but the missus was ok.Lots of people had probs.Hugh

A bear & a wolf,i know it looks like a williey c but having seen plenty of them their about knee high this was waist high.It is old and was checking carpark for food.Have a very funny vid my missus took of me whistling to get it to stop & being scolded by the handbrake for getting its attencion.Hugh
