New (2nd hand) drivers seat triggers airbag warning light

Just replaced the worn driver's seat with a good one from the wreckers. But after connecting up the wring underneath, it's triggering the airbag warning light. Can anyone recommend what to check?

Difficult to say without knowing your year model and the year of the donor car.

I've got an airbag light issue on my car at the moment, we hit a roo and it's caused the light to come on. Replacing the clock spring and the airbag diagnostic module has NOT fixed it, and the workshop diagnostic tool reports it as "driver airbag ccommunication error" so I think there's a broken wire elsewhere too.

Here's a question for you: do your steering wheel controls ALL work? Horn too?
