Hey guys, I have a D40 550 with a lot of oil leaking from somewhere. Got serviced about 500 k's ago and nothing was said about it then so I'm not sure how recent this was. It has an EGR delete so I don't think its from a lack of a catch can but I'd just like some thoughts and ideas. Took pictures of places where the oil seems to be building up.

Most likely your intercooler has sprung a leak.
Remove the panel under the radiator and you will probably find an oil stain on the intercooler.

Thanks for the help. Wasn't able to get the full panel off cause I couldn't be fked using an adjustable wrench for every bolt ( Couldn't find the 10mm) but I had a look and found what might or might not be the problem. I think there's a leak from somewhere else too but it looks like oil filter might not have been screwed on properly when it got serviced or the area just didn't get cleaned up but I'm going to have a look at it with a mechanic and we'll clean the area and look for other leaks. Cheers for the pointers.

I don't know if you know how it works, when the oil filter is unscrewed there is a small tray to catch the oil which then has a pipe draining the excess through the radiator cross member.
If you unscrew it too quickly the tray overspills....
There's also a couple of little hoses from behind the oil filter leading to the oil cooler. Worth checking the clips as a crap mechanic may have damaged them with his filter removal tool.

Alright thank you. Pretty new to working/ figuring out cars myself so don't know too much.
