yeah 350 chev with i few engine mods good enough to neary rip ur arms off if your behind it and the driver hits the gas to hard but it will be for sale soon for the new one

We bought it because it gives you a nice big cushioned deck out the back that the girls can lie on, good to swim from etc. Pretty good on fuel too, going to do a little bit of offshore stuff before too long so pretty confident in it.
We have had a couple of problems with it though, with 8hrs on the clock it threw a belt in the motor, leaving us stuck (one paddle is useless on a 6m boat), and after that it did a bearing (15hrs) and was an absolute shitfight to get it under warrenty. First year service is due soon which will be about $700.
All in all I wouldn't get an inboard again, new 4stroke outboards are king, and I wouldn't buy a ski tube from Sydney Powerboat Centre, the worst customer service & after sales service I have ever dealt with.

I have a 30 yr old (ish) Savage Escort runabout - fibreglass boat (5.0m) with a 130hp Oil Injected Yammy 2 stroke.
Can get upto 39 knots flat out on a good day, but usually stick to the high end of the 20's for good fuel consumption.
I'm usally found somewhere in Westerport chasing Snapper or Grey Sub's - and occasionally the KGW.

Picked up another runabout a on the weekend before last. 70Hp Sportscraft Charger. made locally here in Adelaide. here are a few snaps from our first time out, this was on Sat just gone.

Its getting close mate, I will get the pics off my phone when I get home. I should be able to bring the hull home (or at least into work) in the next couple of days, then still lots of work to do to fit it out and paint it before it gets wet. It is far better than I imagined, to say I am happy with it is an understatement!
Thats a good size runabout you got, plenty of fishing room.

Ive got a 3.55m Stacer Seasprite tinny. Does the job. Started out with a 5hp Yamaha on the back and now has a 15hp Parsun (chinese Yamaha ripoff). Has served me well so far.
But the other day I upgraded
now the proud owner of a 4.55m Quintrex Escape runabout with 40hp Yamaha 2 stroke. Time for the little one to go...........

What did you think of the parsun Trav? Were they heaps cheaper than the equivalent brand names?

Seems to be OK so far. Looks exactly the same as the Yamaha equivalent even down to the owners manual being the same and even been told by more than one person that 95% of Yamaha parts will fit it. If you painted it Yamaha blue and changed the stickers you wouldnt pick the difference. Its a 2 cylinder 2 stroke hasnt let me down at all. Only problem was when I let it sit for a while and the fuel started gumming up in the carby (but that can happen to any motor).
Cost me $1500 brand new delivered to N/W WA! The equivalent Yamaha (which was my first choice but didnt have $) was going to cost me $3000 and then delivery on top of that.
My 15HP Parsun cost me the same amount as my 5HP Yamaha.

i got a 8 foot beach rod but it sits in the sand as im shit at fishing i just do the drinking so i dont get dehydrated while in the sun cause that can be bad

Thats what beach fishing is about, chuck a big hunk of bait out in the water then sit back and watch the world pass you by. When it comes to fish caught in a surf break they will soon let you know if they are hooked, no point busting your arse with cast and retrieve or trying to feel the bite and set the hook it all gets done for you most of the time and the extra effort just wears you out and cuts into drinking time.
I remember catching whiting off the beach at Bribie Island when i was a kid (5 to 10yrs old). Then nothing off the beach until 2 years ago - managed to hood up and land a 1.1m (o/all) Gummy Shark of Tenby Beach in Westenport. The shark pulled by rod out of the ground and was dragging it into the water - thankfully i dropped by coffee fast enough to run after the rod before it disapeared totally. Boy did that shark taste good the next day.
(note re coffee: - it was about 11.30pm and a very cold may night, no sun so no need for the beer)

Time for a better rod holder Woody, we used to spend the nights down at Bemm River fishing for 7 Gills, a big chunk of squid on the hook and walk away from the line until the buggers hooked themselves. Never once came close to loosing any rods and back then 1.5m and above were regulars, so were those bloody Port Jacksons too but they have to be thrown back.
