Has anyone ever checked their headlights after they've installed HIDs???
I've just looked at mine last week and decided to pull the HIDs out and replaced them with stock halogen globes.
There is now a burnt mark across the reflector in each of the heahlights.
Now the light is not bright anymore due to the burnt mark not reflecting much light at all. Looks like I need a new set of headlights.
I know HIDs are not meant for reflector headlights. Anybody else had any issues??

I'll get pics up tomorrow.

Here's a pic of it.

That's very common with cheap HID kits and as you said there not designed for reflectors.

I would say about 60% of the headlights I retrofit have burn marks of some sort in them from HID where they have had them fitted in there reflectors but I've also seen them with burn marks from factory bulbs in the Navaras to. lol

So there is no real guarantee it was the HIDs that caused it they may have just sped up the process the halogen bulbs already started.

Cheers Mick
