Hey all, brand new here.

Thought I'd say gday. Names Cal.

Been visiting these forums for a while and finally signed up. Plan on making my navara nice and throw on a few extra mods, but nothing too hectic. Just want a nice sounding rig, for camping, beach runs and work. I don't do any hardcore four wheelin'. Did so in my sr5 in queensland and got sick of fixing things 😅

So the current rig is:
1998 Duel cab ST Nav, qd32
After market dts turbo set up (12psi -ish)
Fell in love with the qd32 when I got it.

Im a sheety by trade so after I get all the important stuff done, id like to put on a staino snorkel and exhaust. Will definitely post pics when I do.

Ill put some photos up of it currently.

Cheers all, be good to have a yarn.
Cal

i highly recommend fitting an intercooler.
Definitely on the important list. Was previously thinking using a td27 intake and doing a top mount, with a hood scoop, purely for ease. Was advised against it though from another lad.

Clean rig!

Recently finished fitting an intercooler on mine. Bought a top mount cooler off ebay for a td42 and fitted it as a front mount with a universal piping kit.

Was a lot of messing about but its the largest you can fit with space for a winch. Granted though I had to chop off part of the headlight bracket, push the bonnet creases and remove the bonnet latch to replace with pins. Besides all that it's worked excellently so far and was relatively cheap.

Cheers Vidusha,

Got pics of your set up? Definitely need inspiration.

I'm going to pipe it all in myself, welding etc. But i tell ya, its tight in there!

I'm probably never going to run a winch as I never do any heavy tracks etc, but there seems to be a fair bit if room on the inside of my bull bar. We'll see, I haven't done a propper measure yet as gotta spend some $$ on other things first. Injector pump ontop if list 😮‍💨

Cheers for the response mate

Going the universal piping kit isn't the best option for fit but for the money you can't argue value.

Wish i knew how to weld aluminium or stainless to make it look cleaner but here's the setup.

I think it looks pretty tidy mate! Universal piping kit looks like a nice, relatively easy way to do it. But defs needs a bit of messin around as nothing like that just fits haha. I'm definitely going to weld something custom up. Fortunately I have a trade in sheet metal/welding. Its like anything really, right now I wish I was a mechanic. Last week, a plumber. Ha!

Set up looks nice for sure, and cheers for taking the time to take some pics for us mate. Ill be sure to flick through mine once I finally get around to it 👌

Oh and another thing mate, you have catch can under ya hood? If you don't have one, I just installed a cheap ebay one and let me tell ya, the amount of oil ive caught already is insane!

No catch can for the moment, maybe in future after I sort put the airbox. Right now just venting to atmosphere through a little pcv filter which seems to work fine.

Ran out of space near the fuel filter since I had to put the washer bottle where you'd normally put a catch can.

Yeah fair call mate. I was desperate as it was leaking from my intake pipe.
