Was driving and this came up. Done ecu reset and will drive all day but when i turn it off it will come back again i have done the egr mod about 10000ks ago

Drill a 4 to 6mm hole in the centre of the EGR blanking plate. I think late 2010 to mid 2011 D40s had an EGR detector added - and if the EGR flow stopped, it would trigger a CEL.

Opening the small hole should provide enough EGR to satisfy the sensor and keep the levels low enough to reduce soot etc.

I put a 3 mm hole in it when i made it. Did think i should have made it bigger. Will remove plate and tomorrow thanks for the help
