Sorry, I completely forgot about even having posted a reply.
If its still relevant to you, yes it was fairly noticeable. I have used the nav to tow a fair bit and the extra torque was surely beneficial. Towing about 2400KG out of adelaide up that notorious hill maintaining 70KPH was not too big of an ask, Later towed about 2900KG from bendigo into melbourne (on a much better trailer) and it was 100% fine cruising, not so fast off the line if you are facing uphill.
