D22 stalls when cold

Hi I’ve got a D22 Yd25 that stalls when the revs get under 1500rpm. Only when it’s cold. It’s got a choke switch installed that keeps it at 2k rpm. This is fine until I have to feather the clutch and the revs drop below and it stalls. Idles fine when engine warms up. What could be causing this?

Its not a choke..just a fast idle to bring water temp upi
