d22 diff. will yd25 2wd rear diff fit zd30 4wd rear??

Basically just want to know if these are interchangeable. I found one cheap and mine is on itsokway out. The ad says 2008 yd25 on. Mine is an 06 zd30. Cheers guys

dont think so. chase up vin for confirmation of diff but dont think so. i tried to do it in mine when i put a rear locker in cos tjm had one avalible for yd2.5 but bot zd30 and i liked how it operated over arb one but couldnt go in. you need a c200 4 pin diff if its the same as my zd30

as far as i know. nissan are pretty good like that compared to toyota that interchange late and early models all the time. Ild ring your local dealer with your vin just to be safe before forking out the coin

Yeh ill do that. Have u had any problems with yours or anyone's you know that has made popping and clanking noises on take off. Its only every now and then specially after stop starting after a long trip. Not so much when turning either. It was rebuilt Wen i bought it something to do with the lsd part of it but it was a bodge job i think.

mine did. exact same problem. it was the side gears gone in it. usually when diffs make noises its the crown wheel and pinion. but mine was a rare case. same could be for u. get it looked at asap and u just may need new side gears. I waited till mine completely went so ****ed the bearings crown wheel and pinion from the metal shaveings.

Different diff ratio, spring mounts are the opposite. 4wd mount on top and 2wd mount underneath.

Apparently the Thai built D22 rear diffs are slightly different internally. Never looked into it though.

They're both C200's though. ZD30 will run 4.375 diff gears, the YD25 2wd ratio would probably be 3.9 at a guess.

KA24E powered D22's ran 3.9's.

Oh right. How do i know where mine is built. I heard something about vin numbers but haven't looked into it. A nd could anyone recommend a diff specialist in the toowoomba region qld?

vin number is just in your engine bay. Your local nissan dealer ccan give you details with that
