D22 2.5 and D40 2.5

Whats the difference between the two. My understanding is they are the same motor but the one in the d22 is a "detuned version". So yeah where are the differences?

I think there is differences in the heads (porting, valves etc) and the turbo.

head is different,bigger turbo and intercooler and different ems
i think they also run bigger injectors
it is possible to get close to d40 std power with a good chip and exhaust
