Hi all,

After recent trip where the D22 took a few knocks the temp gauge stopped working. Actually it became very erratic and then stopped, I assume it was as the wire in this picture was hanging on by a thread and then gave way altogether. Could somebody confirm that is what this wire does? Have taken several photos attached.

If anybody has any hot tips on cleaning the engine bay feel free... it got pretty muddy... (have seen posts mentioing ct18 diluted or just tyre foamer and rinse off can work well...)

Cheers,

Scott

It was indeed the temp sensor, cost me $40 from the wreckers for a replacement (while trying to remove the plug so I could try and solder it back together I butchered the connector - spanner slipped). 5 min job to replace.
