Hi all,

I thought I'd drop past and soak up some of the valuable knowledge that you have. I'm looking at getting my first 4wd - possible 2010 ST-X auto to tow a camper trailer around Aus.

I hope you can tolerate some very newbie questions?

Welcome to the forum. Good choice for towing, many utes these days use dual mass flywheels and if driven with care they're ok, but if you ride 'em a bit too much (as you might tend to do if hauling heavy stuff around) they don't last very long.

We've done a bit of towing. Don't mind carting a house on wheels around the place!

Yeah but be weary the upgrade comes with a lobotomy, most D22 drivers don't even remember it but those who do say it's fairly painful.
