6.0L L98 Navara D40

hi all, looking at putting a chev l98 engine into my D40, looked everywhere and cant find much info in conversions.

anyone done a v8 conversion? is there a kit?

How big is that engine? Have a chat to scottybobcat, he put a genIII into his d22. Good luck fitting that engine into a d40! As far as I know you're going to run into the following problems:
Diff ratios, ecu, wiring loom, engine bay size(probably your biggest hurdle) gearbox etc.

You'll probably need to fit a body lift before you can look at doing this.

You can take the D40 YD25 diesel engine to a very L98-like 350+hp/500lbft.......Same with a petrol VQ40 with a supercharger kit....

There a 6L V8 from memory.

Should fit in.

Just work the engine thats in it.
